About the Role:

The UNI Group is seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Business Partner to support our business growth and continue fostering an engaged and thriving workforce.  In this role, you will take a key part in partnering with Senior Stakeholders within our Retail Operations team, crafting and implementing HR and workplace relations solutions that are perfectly aligned with our business needs.  Your expertise will help shape strategies that resonate across all levels, from our in-store team members through to the senior leadership team. With your strong background in the retail industry and FMCG, you will support the business in its growth while ensuring we meet all regulatory and employment obligations.  We are a close-knit passionate team that loves what we do and we collaborate every day to make work exciting and rewarding for everyone.  

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Provide accurate and timely advice on HR policies and procedures to managers, team members and the HR Service Delivery team using a business partnering approach.
  • Develop strong relationships with people leaders, acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Coach managers to enhance leadership and management capabilities.
  • Provide accurate and timely advice in relation to Award and agreement interpretation and implementation, seeking guidance as required.
  • Provide confidential counselling and advice to team members and managers.
  • Support managers in appropriate performance management processes.
  • Manage team member grievances/complaints.
  • Facilitate training for managers and staff on HR practices and procedures as required.
  • Monitor industry information and updates to ensure award/agreement compliance.
  • Develop, maintain and promote HR Policies and Procedures in accordance with UNI Group and legislative requirements.
  • Support recruitment process when required, including selection processes and interviews.

 

ABOUT YOU

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in a related field (Human Resources, Business)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a HR Business Partner
  • Good understanding of all relevant workplace relations legislation and regulations
  • The ability to influence key stakeholders through effective communication and informed advice.
  • Strong influencing and persuasion skills.
  • Strong PC literacy, MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated ability to understand, develop and improve processes.
  • Ability to deliver training and coaching to our retail operations team
  • Ability to travel throughout our Australian stores
