As an educator you’ll work as part of a small team of early childhood professionals to deliver SDN’s innovative, high quality and inclusive program for children, while building strong, meaningful relationships with children and families, and delivering the support of the SDN village to their lives.
About you
You will be a certificate -qualified educator with a special interest in diversity and inclusion, a passion for inclusive early childhood practice and a willingness to grow and learn.
About the team
The team at SDN Hurstville support every child to have equal opportunity to reach their potential and succeed in an environment that is inclusive. A key part of the team’s approach is establishing connections with other professionals to build a team around children and families and partner with families to care for and educate our children, supporting them to achieve their goals.
About the role
This is a full-time, contract role until February 2026.
Your role will involve collaborating with children about their interests and supporting them by creating a stimulating environment. As well as supporting the physical needs of children, you will assist in the observation and evaluation of the children’s development, creating an environment which ensures trust and security and provides flexible routines and smooth transitions.
You will need
- Experience in a similar role
- A Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
- Demonstrated understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework
- Demonstrated understanding of the National Quality Standards
- Working with Children Check and current Senior First Aid qualification
- Sound understanding of the development of children, their health, hygiene and nutritional needs
