Occupational Therapist
About the Role:
Working from our recently opened Macquarie Park Centre as part of our Children’s Therapies Team, on a part-time 3 days per week you will work closely with parents/carers to identify their goals and objectives for their children and support them to achieve these within the service of their choice. Specifically, this will include:
- Working in a trans-disciplinary model to deliver discipline specific therapy that is play-based, family-centred and strengths based paediatric intervention through transition playgroups, home visiting, children’s education & care settings, and leisure and community groups.
- Working with other agencies, community groups, and other stakeholders to further the interests of children, young people and families and facilitate access to relevant services
- Implementing strategies and delivering services that are responsive to the children’s needs
- Delivering services in accordance with the program objective and relevant legislative acts, regulations, best practice standards and guidelines
- Evaluating, monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators and other program outcomes
About you:
You are a tertiary qualified occupational therapist with current AHPRA membership. Your qualifications are supported by at least 2 years occupational health experience ideally working with children along with a solid understanding of the NDIS framework.
Additionally, you will have excellent communication skills, enjoy working as part of a team along with a flexible approach. Part of this role will see you travelling to various sites so you will hold a current driver licence. You currently hold or are able to gain a working with children check.

The Association was formed by group of women from Sydney’s inner-Suburbs who recognised the dire need among working mothers, who found themselves the sole breadwinners for their family, for safe and reliable child care. Today we operate over 30 centres across NSW and ACT. In addition to Child Care, our Children's Therapies team provides therapy for children and young people aged 0 - 16 years with autism and developmental delays
