About the Role:

As a key member of our team, you'll be actively contributing to the growth of our field service business, engaging directly with customers, and ensuring their satisfaction.

  • Field Service Focus – You will spend a significant amount of time in the field, servicing equipment such as container handling equipment, diesel gensets, pump and drill sets.
  • Proactive focus  - You will have the ability to seek and maintain new business opportunities
  • Service Administration – collation of job details and invoicing within our Dealer Management system
  • New Engine Configuration – You will also be involved in configuring new engines and preparing them for delivery to OEMs.
  • Technical and Warranty Support – Provide expert support to our dealer network across Victoria & Tasmania.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Repair mechanical components on a wide variety of equipment including container handling machines, rock crushers, diesel gensets, and pumping equipment.
  • Ensure all repairs are completed to satisfaction.
  • Identify any additional repairs needed and provide time and labor estimates.
  • Test run and complete inspections based on Service Check Sheets.
  • Prepare clear, concise reports detailing the work done, parts used, and any recommendations for future repairs.

If you have

  • Volvo heavy diesel technical experience
  • Minimum certificate 3 automotive technician trade certificate/qualification
  • Current HC/HR drivers licence is preferred
  • Current Forklift & Doggers Licence preferred (or willing to support process to secure a license)
  • Ability to work unsupervised in the field
  • Pride in your work with an ability to work to Volvo Technical standards and achieve goals
  • Highly motivated, reliable with a can-do, positive attitude
  • Effective communication skills with a commitment to workplace safety
