Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and manage our national construction team, overseeing all facets of project delivery—from tendering and planning to execution and close-out.
This leadership role requires a seasoned construction professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and excels in managing multiple projects, programs, and people concurrently. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, safely, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Nationally manage Project Managers and the estimating team to deliver successful outcomes
- Lead and report on construction projects across all phases, ensuring alignment with CBES processes and tools
- Ensure compliance with OH&S, legal, and regulatory requirements across all sites and contracts
- Oversee project tendering, contract reviews, variations, RFI’s, NODs, and defect liability periods
- Maintain and build positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Engage high-quality subcontractors to deliver value, quality, and efficiency
- Drive accurate forecasting, reporting, and financial oversight of all projects
- Identify, manage, and resolve issues and risks proactively
- Coach, mentor, and supervise a team of Project Managers, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
Key Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Project or Construction Management
- Trade qualification with proved technical experience
- Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager in the construction industry
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Familiarity with OH&SE requirements and relevant building legislation
